Sole E95S Elliptical Review – Highlights:

The Sole E95S is very similar to the Sole E95 elliptical (hence this review will be similar to the Sole E95 review) with one main difference – an adjustable stride.

Sole E95 S Elliptical

Instead of the set 20 inch stride on the Sole E95 elliptical, you get an adjustable stride from 18 to 24 inches on the Sole E95S.  This is a great option because it does three things for you.

First of all, a lot of people are nervous about stride because they’re not quite sure which is the best length for them. With this adjustable stride you’re more than covered and ca easily find the stride length that feels most comfortable for you.n

Second, if you want to push yourself outside of your comfort zone, a different stride length can help you work different muscle groups and get a better crosstraining workout.

Lastly the adjustable stride is great for multiple user families – so everyone can find the stride that fits them best.

The Sole E95S also has the famous 2 degree inward angle on the footpedals. This was designed with the help of a physiotherapist to put your body into a more natural position when running.

The inward angle slope more closely mimics your body’s actual running motion – reducing the strain on your joints, knees and hips. This is something you’ll especially notice after longer workouts.

Sole E95S Elliptical  Review – Console:

The console itself is large and well laid out. At 10 inches across it’s one of the largest console windows that Sole makes. It also includes a built-in cooling fan and an iPod dock with speakers so you can play your favorite tunes as you workout.

There are easy quick-adjustment buttons and an easy to reach water bottle holder. There are also 10 different built-in workouts you can access from the console based on things like heart rate, fat burn and more.

More Ways To Challenge Yourself – Power Incline

Incline is not the same as resistance. Incline changes the slope of your elliptical pathway, which helps you work different sets of muscle groups. This is the ultimate way to crosstrain for many people as it continually challenges your body.

The Sole E95S elliptical gives you from 1 to 20 levels of incline that you adjust from the console. You can also adjust it from the controls on your moving arm bars – so you don’t have to reach up to the console to do it.

You can also easily track your heart rate to stay in your target fat-burning zone. There are hand sensors in front of the console. Or if you order direct from the Manufacturer here, you can get a Free wireless heart rate monitor as well.

Many people prefer the wireless heart rate monitor as tends to be much more accurate than the hand grip sensors. It also means you don’t have to keep interrupting your upper body workout to grasp the hand grip sensors to get a heart rate reading.

Sole E95S Elliptical Review – Bluetooth Now Added:

Sole has finally embraced technology for their crosstrainers this year and included Bluetooth tracking capability on most of their ellipticals – including the Sole E95S.

You can track and transfer your workout date from your elliptical to your smart device. You can use the free Sole app. It’s also compatible with Fitbit, Record, Mapmyrun or Apple Health.

Sole E95S Elliptical Review –  Any Downsides?

The Sole E95S elliptical does fall down a bit in terms of entertainment options.  While other brands are giving you color consoles, touch screens and web browsers, this console is simple, dual color and fairly standard.

The console is large and easy to read – but compared to other brands, it just doesn’t give you as much.

Sole has always been excellent at building commercial grade construction, high end machines. And the money here has gone into high end construction – and not the entertainment options, which may be fine for you depending on what you want.

Also, it’s fair to note that if you don’t need the adjustable stride, you may want to save $400 and go with the Sole E95 elliptical – with a standard 20 inch stride.
