Sole E35 Elliptical Review – Highlights:
The Sole E35 is the next step up from the Sole E25 elliptical with a larger console, heavier flywheel and longer warranty.
It also carries a 3-position adjustable footpedals so you can customize the workout feel to your comfort (that you don’t get on the Sole E25 model).
The Sole E35 itself is a tough, well-built front drive elliptical with a focus on strong construction and ergonomic positioning. It’s built with Sole’s famous 2 degree inward angle on the footpedals that was designed with the help of a physiotherapist to put the user’s body in a more neutral alignment.
The inward angle slope more closely mimics your body’s actual running motion – lessening the stress and pull on your joints and hips. This helps to give you a more comfortable workout – both during and after your session.
The E35 also comes with Sole’s thick, heavy duty steel frame designed for higher user weight capacity machines. This helps gives you a stable, solid feel, even when you pick up your pace and really work the elliptical.
Sole E35 Elliptical Review – Console
The console on the E35 runs around 7 inches across. Its larger and easier to read than the Sole E25 – but smaller than the E95 and E98 models. It’s also backlit which again, makes it easier to read your workout stats.
The console also has a built-in cooling fan and water bottle holder along with quick touch buttons to start different built-in workout programs. There are 10 built-in workout programs in all, including 2 custom and 2 heart rate options.
The console also carries a music port with speakers so you can plug in your phone or other device and listen to your favorite workout mix.
A lot of people don’t realize that Sole consoles are also adjustable. You can tilt them forward or back for the best angle of sight – another little plus you don’t usually get with other brands.
More Comfortable Workouts with Adjustable Footpedals
The Sole E35 also comes with 3-position adjustable footpedals. So you can choose the right toe-heel angle that feels most comfortable for you. This is also a great way to reduce toe numbness and pain after longer workouts.
In addition to this, the Sole E35 also comes with a heavy 25 pound flywheel. A heavier flywheel helps to give you a smoother feeling ride. It also helps to anchor the machine for a more stable feel.
Challenge Yourself with Power Incline
Incline changes the slope of your elliptical pathway, letting you work different sets of muscle groups. This is the ultimate way to crosstrain for many people as it continually challenges your body.
The Sole E35 gives you from 1 to 20 levels of incline that you adjust from the console. And if you don’t want to reach up to the console and interrupt your upper body workout, no problem, you can change the incline or resistance from the moving arm bars.
Media Shelf
Sole recently added a media shelf above the console. So you can watch your favorite movies or shows on your tablet or phone as you run.
Plus, there’s also a USB charging port on the console. So you never have to worry about running out of batter power on your devices when working out.
Sole E35 Review – Bluetooth Now Added:
Sole has finally gotten in gear this year and included Bluetooth tracking capability on most of their ellipticals – including the Sole E35.
You can track and transfer your workout date from your elliptical to your smart device. You can use the free Sole app. It’s also compatible with Fitbit, Record, Mapmyrun or Apple Health. Tracking your results can be very motivating and can help you achieve higher levels of fitness.
Sole E35 Elliptical Review – Any Downsides?
The Sole E35 does fall down a bit in terms of entertainment options. While other brands are giving you full-color, touch screen consoles and streaming workouts, this console is simple, dual color and fairly standard.
It is backlit and easy to read – but compared to other brands, it just doesn’t give you as much in terms of entertainment or even built-in workouts. Sole’s strength has always been building commercial grade construction, high end machines. But the fun stuff? Not so much.
Still, if you just want a well-made, affordable, stable elliptical – with a few entertainment options you can use – this might be the ideal choice for you.
Where to Buy and Save:
Sole updated their ellipticals – including the Sole E35 model for this year to add the new Bluetooth tracking. You can get the new model and also get the free tablet holder included with the price if you buy direct from the Manufacturer here.
