New Elliptical Alert – Bowflex Releases 2 New Max Trainers!
Introducing the Max Trainer M6 and M8!

Looking for a Bowflex Max Trainer?
Bowflex has just released 2 new Max Trainer models – the Bowflex M6 and the Bowflex M8.
As you can probably tell by their model numbers they are replacing the older M5 and M7 models.
The look very similar to the M5 and M7 – however Bowflex has added a few upgrades (while keeping prices the same.)
The Main Upgrade?
The M6 and M8 come compatible with the new Bowflex Max Intelligence.
This is a very cool new technology that works with you to give you dynamic coaching and customized workouts.
It can assess your unique fitness level and send you personalized workouts based on your fitness level and your stated goals.
You also have a library of personal-trainer-led Bowflex Max workouts you can watch (from your tablet) if you need more of a challenge.

Bowflex will also be adding things like world scenery workouts and Bowflex radio later on this year for even more workout entertainment options.
Here’s a quick video of how Max Intelligence works on the M6 model:

Another upgrade has to do with the new M6 console. It has a more premium tablet holder and a sleeker look overall. Here’s the older M5 console:

And here’s the new M6 console:

As you can see, the buttons and layout are much sleeker and professional-looking on the M6 console. The tablet holder is a step up from the older console as well.
4 Minute HIIT Workout?
Another addition is the new 4-minute HIIT workout on the M6 and M8 Max Trainers. This takes time-saving workouts to the next level.
While I have a few doubts that a 4 minute workout (even a HIIT workout) can give you the same results as a 30 -60 minute workout, you’ll still be getting some benefit. And if you don’t have a lot of time in your day, it might be worth it.
Of course there are also longer HIIT workouts included on the Max Trainers – but the new 4 minute workout is interesting and certainly grabs your attention.
Bottom Line:
More and more fitness equipment manufacturers are adding tracking and virtual reality style workouts to their ellipticals (see iFit coach on the Nordictrack ellipticals and Virtual Active on the Matrix ellipticals).
So it’s no surprise that Bowflex came out with their own style of customized Smart training on the Max Trainer.
And knowing Bowflex, they won’t stop adding new features to Max Intelligence until it blows everyone else out of the water – which will be interesting to watch.
If you’ve tried the Max Intelligence feature, please let me know in the comments below what you thought of it.
